In this episode, we’re taking a look at choosing a game system (and why fiction writers should consider it), and defining the scope of your world.

I’m in something of a rush this week, so no time listings for each segment, Sorry folks!

Choosing a Game System

NOTE: There are other game systems out there that are free for your use (providing you follow their license). The above is just a small sampling.

It’s taken my a bit longer than expected to put this episode together. I should be able to upload it tomorrow afternoon.

Now With Polls!

I’ve added in a feature to allow for polls. You’ll find it in the right-hand column part of the way down the page. I may do a poll per podcast, based on the content of that podcast. Or it may be something completely different. It’ll be a surprise. :)

The first poll is about world building methods. Please vote!

Oops!

That’ll teach me to do editing when my head feels like it’s going to explode. I don’t know what I did, but the promo in the podcast got screwed up. I’m currently repairing it, and will have the replacement file up shortly.

EDIT: The file has been uploaded, and is a bit longer than before. None of the content has changed.

Sorry about the delay on the show notes, folks. The problem with the original mp3 has been fixed, and the notes reflect the changes.

New episode later today

I didn’t have a chance to record the new episode on the weekend. We’re trying to potty train our daughter, and for those of you who have gone through it with your own kids, you know what we’re going through.

Anyway, episode #3 should be up later today, and available some time after that through iTunes and other venues.

NaNoWriMo 2006

For you fiction writers out there, November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I will be participating. I don’t know how it will affect the podcast. I will try to make sure something comes out, though it might not be a full length show.
